SMART Promos

Before I get started, here is the SMART Personal Login page.

Ok looks like I need to have a place to keep track of all of the promos that I find the most useful. Here are the latest promos that I personally avail of as of Nov 26th 2010. I’ll try to update this once every few months. Of course leave out the quotes below when using each of these promos:

Send “ATM30″ to “2827
This might be a new favorite. This one will last for two days and will give me 200 texts(and MMS) for the SMART network (plenty for me to text my wife), and ten texts for any other network which should cover the spare text that I sent here and there to one of the NGO’s that I volunteer or work with. If I use this Mon-Fri (when my wife is at work) I won’t reduce my P300 load consumption per month (there are about 22 work days per month) but I will be more free to text whenever  I won’t without monitoring myself.

Send “15″ to “258″ This the promo that I use the most. My wife is typically the only person that I text a lot. This promo gives me unlimited texting to her for one day. This promo was suppose to end a couple of years ago but I’m still using it :-)

… hmm 2010Dec23rd was the first time I’ve ever had a problem with this promo. It responded back suggesting a MEGALAHATTXT20 promo. However I like my wife’s favorite better so I promptly did the L20 mentioned below.

Send “L20″ to “2266″ This the promo that my wife likes the most. She texts a lot more people on a variety of networks. This promo will give you 100 text to ‘any’ network plus a ten minute call to SMART. This lasts for one day also..

* And if I go out of Manila for a couple of days I might consider this promo which will allow me to stay in touch with Facebook (and thereby all my friends and family in the US).

* I will also try this out. The longer your call the cheaper the per minute rate. Lowest rate is P1 per minute for a 20minute call.

Please don’t fall for the pulse billing scheme that SMART is using. There are some folks that don’t quite get that they are being charged every six seconds. It’s only slightly less expensive than the normal rate and your pesos would be much better spent on one of the promos above.
